I started out my working life as a tradesman in the building Industry. After a back injury and a stint at university, I was offered a position as a Technologist with one of Australia's largest cement and lime manufacturers.
I subsequently worked my way up to the position of Senior Technologist in charge of Building Products. Whilst in this position, I was fortunate enough to be trained in Total Quality Management and Continuous Improvement as the company worked its way through a certification project (ISO 9000 Series Quality Standard).
I undertook several training modules in Quality Assurance, including Statistical Process Control and Quality Facilitation.
As a Quality Facilitator, I learned how to apply several important tools for implementing quality management systems and continuous improvement initiatives. This included how to enlist people in the process of changing things for the better throughout the company. I later left the company to form my own consulting firm, and contracted back to them, whilst also pursuing work with other companies. During this time I got involved with an international company doing safety certification work (ISM Code & SEP Rules - mostly with marine companies).
I was subsequently selected to work with Det Norske Veritas in delivering Safety and Quality Management Systems and Audit Training Seminars. During this time, I became more interested in people, including how they learned...what made them tick...and how to help them to work and play well with each other (via methods of mutual understanding). As I continued to work as a Management Systems Consultant, I concentrated on perfecting my business process mapping skills as well as my understanding of personality
systems.
It was then that I decided to apply everything that I had learned to deciphering the human behavioural code. I researched key scientific disciplines in a multi-disciplinary cross correlation of nine personality systems with transmission genetics, neuroscience, and what I now call the maturity continuum (which includes aspects of the developmental continuum from birth to mature age).
After successfully completing this research project, I consulted to a clinical psychologist, where I was able to prove the results of my research in practice. Since then, I have worked as a Human Dynamics Facilitator helping people to solve major (and minor) personal and interpersonal problems. Over a period of ten years, I was able to transition from ONLY being able to help companies change their organisations for the better ... to ALSO being able to help people change their lives for the better.
